Pregnancy is a time of change for women, some of which will experience different signs of pregnancy. One common symptom of being pregnant is experiencing breast tenderness during pregnancy.

Changes in the size and feel of a woman’s breast are one of the earliest signs of pregnancy. As early as a few days after conception, the breasts will begin to enlarge in preparation of breastfeeding. A feeling of soreness or heaviness is not uncommon for a woman to experience during her early days of pregnancy.

Many women report that their breasts are sensitive, and that they experience a sharp, tingling sensation in their breasts as well. Although it disappears within a few weeks layer, some of these changes, including breast tenderness during pregnancy usually don’t result in serious complications.

Most of the breast changes that occur early in pregnancy are less dramatic with subsequent pregnancies. So if you are on your second or third pregnancy, and are experiencing breast tenderness, it will probably be less severe than previous pregnancies.

Some women who are pregnant have, or develop, medical conditions that warrant caution in relation to pregnancy exercise. Some of these include uterine contractions, absence of fetal movement, respiratory disorders, anemia, spotting and a few others.

If you experience any of these symptoms while exercising during your pregnancy, consult with your primary care physician. In some cases, you will still be able to exercise and maintain your pregnancy fitness plan, however other cases may require you to refrain from exercising during your pregnancy.
